Evergreen Fund
Ground Control is the founder of the Evergreen Fund, a £5 million impact venture that dedicates 5% of our annual net profits to supporting environmental initiatives and carbon sequestration.
Launched with £5 million and a commitment to reinvest 5% of annual net profits, the Evergreen Fund backs projects focused on biodiversity net gain and carbon sequestration. All returns are recycled into further green ventures, creating a self-sustaining model for climate and nature recovery.
Evergreen specialises in providing DEFRA-registered off-site Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) units, offering developers legally secured, independently verified options to meet mandatory BNG requirements.
In addition to off-site units, Evergreen also supports developers who wish to create BNG onsite, offering habitat modelling, planning, and ecological guidance to optimise biodiversity outcomes directly within development sites.
The Evergreen Fund provides seed and growth capital to companies and social enterprises focused on delivering measurable, beneficial, and sustainable environmental impact.
As part of our carbon sequestration commitment, the fund dedicates £100,000 each year to native tree planting, serving as a catalyst and amplifier for projects with our customers, government organisations, charities, private landowners, our supply chain, and other partners.
Our vision is to show business as a force for good by considering wider stakeholders and supporting sound, evergreen investments in ventures focused on carbon reduction, sustainability, and environmental protection.
