After several years’ absence, the Royal Mail grounds maintenance contract is back with Ground Control!  Ground Control lost this work after many years’ service following a tender in 2016 when Royal Mail decided to bundle all aspects of maintenance work into a Total Facilities Management Package. Our client for this work is ISS Facilities Services who are delivering this total FM package for the Royal Mail.

The Royal Mail contract was Ground Control’s first national contract in 2003, so is especially important to the company. Ground Control received either Silver or Gold supplier awards every year the for quality of service maintaining the sites.

Simon Morrish, CEO, said:

The Royal Mail contract is especially dear to my heart in that it was our first national contract in 2003… I believe Royal Mail is very pleased to have us back and we will demonstrate to them that they have made the right decision.

The work was awarded through a very competitive tender process based on Ground Control’s award-winning service delivery and innovation. This is another client in a long list including Tesco, Sainsbury, Morrison’s and Arqiva to name a few that have realised Ground Control deliver unbeatable service and have come back after a brief trial elsewhere.

The award also secures the Winter Maintenance programme for Royal Mail which Ground Control have been delivering via Litterboss for the last few years. Ground Control will be delivering grounds and winter maintenance across the portfolio of 1287 suites nationwide.

Contracts Manager, Phil Rogers, has already been on site inspecting work.
