Overview:

Berry Hill Park Redevelopment is a major investment by Mansfield District Council in the future of Mansfield and community outdoor spaces. It includes the construction of new facilities, upgrades to infrastructure, and ecological enhancements throughout the park.

On 10th March 2025, Ground Control broke ground at Berry Park, Mansfield. The project will see the construction of a new community hub and cafe, with all the associated ground works, drainage and surrounding landscaping. The park improvements will also include the removal and replacement of the existing play equipment, replaced by a new bespoke play area.

To support nature within the park, a new wetland area is being created adjacent to the existing pond, with improvements to pathways throughout the park and woodland to give public access to these areas.

The Aim of Berry Hill Park redevelopment:

  • Improved accessibility for all ages and abilities
  • More engaging and inclusive play opportunities for children
  • Enhanced visitor experience with a modern café and scenic walking routes
  • Ongoing construction work may cause temporary disruptions, which we’ll keep to a minimum
