For the 15th consecutive year, Ground Control Limited has received a prestigious RoPSA Award, demonstrating its commitment to health and Safety excellence between 01 January 2024 and 31 December 2024, across all service areas.

Ground Control won an Order of Distinction Award, demonstrating its commitment to keeping staff, customers, clients, and contractors safe at work.

The ultimate symbol of achievement in safety and excellence, the internationally renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards recognise organisations, teams, and projects across all sectors for their unwavering commitment to protecting lives (RoSPA)

By earning a RoSPA Award, organisations not only receive recognition for their accomplishments but also become part of a legacy that values dedication to high safety standards, and the well-being of individuals.

Now in its 69th year, and with almost 2,000 entries annually from over 50 countries, covering over seven million employees, the RoSPA Awards are the world’s largest health and safety awards programme, recognising those organisations and individuals who have set the highest standards in accident prevention.

Whether seeking non-competitive excellence recognition or entering for a competitive award across 20 industry sectors, each RoSPA Award entrant is assessed against rigorous criteria, making Ground Control a world leader in shaping safer, healthier workplaces.

In order to share important learning and build on the strong health and safety foundations required to enter the RoSPA Awards, the award entry process can be used as reflective practice to contribute to continuing professional development (CPD).

Chris Hinchcliffe, HSQ Director, Ground Control, said:

Organisations receiving a RoSPA Award are recognised as being world leaders in health and safety practices. Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants vie to achieve the highest possible accolade in what is the UK’s longest-running H&S industry awards.
A huge well done to every member of the Ground Control family who has contributed to us winning the 15th (consecutive) RoSPA award. Together we seek to achieve an environment that is healthy, safe, and injury-free.
Our HSQE infrastructure has been aligned closely with our growing business, and we are continually improving our systems to support our people successfully. Our vision is founded on a desire to care for our environment, people, and customers, and as we look toward the future, we will continually raise standards and inspire others. This is what we call human nature at its best.

Julia Small, RoSPA's Achievements Director, said:

Ground Control should be proud of the hard work and commitment to keeping people safe that has resulted in a RoSPA Award, which honours those organisations who have achieved the highest standards in health and safety in the workplace.
RoSPA regards Ground Control as a strong example of the importance of making accident prevention central to any successful organisation, not just for the benefit of employees, customers and clients, but also society as a whole.’
Sponsored by the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), the RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest-running of its kind in the UK and receives entries from organisations across the globe, making it one of the most sought-after achievement awards for the health and safety industry.

Dee Arp, NEBOSH Chief Quality Officer and the Head Judge of the RoSPA Awards, said:

NEBOSH is delighted to be the headline sponsor of the RoSPA Awards. Recognising excellence in health and safety is essential to ensure we celebrate achievement, but it is also about reinforcing a culture of care, accountability and continuous improvement. These awards serve as a powerful reminder that employee safety and wellbeing transcends borders and looking after our people, so they can go home safe, healthy, and happy every day, also drives sustainable success and resilience.
