In late 2025, Ground Control announced that our ‘Charity of the Year’ was Help for Heroes, with both an ambitious £55,000 fundraising target and a commitment to collaborate with Help for Heroes to achieve their charity objectives to “Support former servicemen and women, and their families, living with the challenges of injuries and trauma.”

We’re proud to share that in the first three and a half months, we have raised over £18,000 and reached a third of our fundraising target.

Jason Knights, CEO, commented on the fundraising success:

It's great to start 2026 having already reached a third of our £55,000 target. This progress is down to the generosity and commitment of our people, and the shared belief across the business that we can play a small but meaningful part in supporting former servicemen and women and their families as they navigate the challenges of injury and trauma.
Through our CSR arm, EverCare, we’re able to offer more than just donations; we’re sharing the skills and expertise of our people to support many important causes like Help for Heroes. I’m proud of what we have achieved so far and look forward to continuing this partnership as we work towards our goal over the year ahead.

Fundraising by EverCare

Building on the announcement of our first £10,000 raised from our Remembrance Day walks and generous fundraising at our divisional conferences, further EverCare and partner events have included a client charity golf day and a charity advent calendar with Tudor Environmental.

Supporting Help for Heroes

Looking beyond fundraising, we’re proud to share a sample of volunteering and support that our employees are taking part in, which includes:

  • Skill-based volunteering: Individuals from our IT team with CRM and cybersecurity expertise are volunteering with Help for Heroes, sharing their skills in these key areas.
  • Training: Our Learning and Development Team are supporting training at the charity.
  • Christmas campaign: Teams took part in the charity's festive campaign, signing Christmas cards to remind veterans that they are never forgotten.

As we look forward, we’re aiming to continue our fundraising efforts, led by our new Divisional Champions, whilst also supporting International Women’s Day and many more events.
