Ground Control’s intelligent quoting app recognised at the British Data Awards 2025

We’re thrilled to announce that our partnership with FOIL has been recognised with the 'Climate Change Initiative of the Year' award at the British Data Awards 2025, a proud moment that celebrates the power of collaboration, innovation, and purpose-driven technology.
FOIL Limited is a consultancy specialising in data and AI solutions, dedicated to empowering organisations to manage their data evolution effectively.

Leading the Way in Environmental Innovation
Out of a record-breaking 448 entries, our joint project with FOIL stood out against some of the UK's most established tech leaders. The award recognises the transformational impact of our Intelligent Quoting App, a tool designed to cut carbon in support of our net zero ambitions, increase efficiencies and unlock growth across our operations.
The app is expected to reduce over 300,000 miles of travel and 37,000kg of CO2e emissions annually, while streamlining our quoting process from days to hours. It’s not only an environmental breakthrough, it will also save over 10,000 work hours per year and generate up to £250,000 in additional revenue. Automation within the app also improves the quality of data held, which will guide and enable future innovations.
A Partnership Built on Trust and Shared Goals
Celebrating alongside FOIL at the ceremony, together, we’ve built a platform that sets a new standard for sustainable operations and digital self-sufficiency.
We look forward to continuing this journey as we explore new tools to measure and manage the environmental impact of every job we undertake. This recognition is a launchpad for the next chapter in our mission to leave the world better than we found it.
