At Ground Control our employees enjoy the opportunity to give back to their community, to support volunteering initiatives, and to take part in planting days.

We are happy to share news of a local laptop recycling scheme within our Grounds Maintenance division. Jay Hancocks, Maintenance Director, has been working behind the scenes to collect and safely reset used laptops and donate them to a local school.

With a full reset and a new hard drive thanks to Jay, the laptops are wiped, updated and ready for a second life outside of Ground Control. Jay commented:

It is great that Ground Control give us the resource and time to 'give back' to local causes. I am immensely proud every time I get to drop off laptops, knowing they are going to be used and hopefully inspire the next generation of landscapers.

Volunteering is a common practice with our employees, recently joining team members attended the Mill Meadows Fayre, local to our Head Office in Billericay to show families how they can recycle everyday items (and peanut butter) into bug hotels and bird feeders.
