Lisa Blakey

Lisa joined Ground Control in July 2023 as Chief People Officer. She is a seasoned HR professional with over 30 years of experience in the Manufacturing, Construction, and Engineering industries. As a Fellow of the CIPD and a Member of the Institute of Directors, she was honoured in 2019 for her contributions to HR and People Development.

In her role at Ground Control, Lisa leads the people function, overseeing HR, recruitment, employee engagement, and Learning and Development initiatives. Driven by her passion for creating impactful people agendas, she implemented an HR business partner model to ensure closer alignment with business unit teams and to promote an inclusive work environment where both individuals and businesses can thrive.

Prior to joining Ground Control, Lisa founded Encompass Development. During her tenure, the organisation earned OFSTED's GOOD rating and Investors in People GOLD accreditation. Lisa also held executive HR roles at Shepherd Built Environment and Shepherd Engineering Services.

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending quality time with her family and her dog, Bruno. She also loves cooking, entertaining, and travelling.
