Dick Lovett Porsche Dealership – Supporting Porsche's UK EV Infrastructure
Overview:
As an official Porsche dealership with three locations across the South West, Dick Lovett installed charging points at its dealership in Swindon, Bristol and Tewkesbury. The public-facing charging units form part of a Porsche UK directive requiring dealerships to install public EV charging infrastructure for Porsche electric vehicles (EVs).
Alongside these rapid public charging points, the sites also installed charging units within their service depots to develop their own EV infrastructure.
Our LDE division acted as principal contractor and designer, completing the works in accordance with CDM 2015.

Landscaping and Construction
- Installed civils infrastructure within soft landscaping areas
The team worked closely with Dick Lovett to understand Porsche UK's EV charging directive and how to include Porsche's colour and branding requirements.
Scope of Works:
At each location, LDE installed a public-facing ultra-rapid 150 kW DC charger outside the dealership compound. The Alpitronic units were installed with Porsche's charging software and are available for use by Porsche EVs. In addition, our team installed six 22 kW AC charging units at each site within the service depots. To complete these works, our team carried out the design, surveys and installation.
- Design and Consultation | Our team assessed the current and future requirements of each site, recommending stylish Alpitronic units to complement the high-end Porsche brand. The solution maximised capacity through a combination of public-facing ultra-rapid charging units and lower-powered charging facilities within the service areas. We also worked closely with Dick Lovett to ensure the civil engineering works complemented Porsche's premium image and enhanced the appearance of the luxury dealership environment.
- Surveys | We completed full NICEIC surveys to develop a comprehensive understanding of each site and determine the most appropriate power supply requirements and connections.
- Installation | Alongside the associated civils works, our teams installed a public-facing ultra-rapid 150 kW DC charger with Porsche's charging software at each site, together with six 22 kW AC charging units for the dealership's service depot.

Working within the Porsche brand
As a luxury automotive brand, Porsche required all works to be completed to the highest standards of quality and aesthetics. To achieve this, our teams:
- Selected Alpitronic charging units during the design phase, recognising their high quality and sleek appearance. These were RAL colour-matched to approved Porsche brand colours.
- Applied the same attention to detail throughout the civils works, including RAL colour-matched fencing and high-quality finishing throughout.
- Installed civils infrastructure within soft landscaping areas or existing seams wherever possible to minimise visual impact and reduce landscaping scarring.

By successfully delivering Porsche UK's EV charging directive across three dealership locations, LDE created a future-ready charging infrastructure that supports both customers and service operations. Combining technical expertise with exceptional quality and aesthetics, the project reflects Porsche's premium standards and demonstrates our ability to deliver complex infrastructure solutions while maintaining a luxury brand environment.
