Ground Control Support Young Entrepreneurs
The event, which Basildon Council commissioned Enterprise in Education to deliver, aimed to challenge secondary school pupils to come up with ideas on how to attract more residents to shop at the local market. The pupils were tasked to produce a 30 second TV advert and a presentation which was then judged at the end of the day by business guests.
Attending on the day representing Ground Control, Peter was on-hand to offer assistance to the pupils during the challenge, giving an insight into some of the skills required; communication, team work, decision making, problem solving, leadership and negotiation skills.
Peter, pictured with the group above, commented: “ The event organised by Enterprise in Education was absolutely fantastic. The young people I chatted with throughout the morning had tonnes of ideas and came up with some really innovative ways to advertise and promote their products. They all treated the event as though it was a serious challenge set by Sir Alan Sugar on The Apprentice! It was great to see the sparks of imagination and creativity in their faces and I was very proud to represent our award winning business in the wider community”
