Ground Control achieve full re-approval as Arb Association Contractors
Nearly 40 years ago the AA established its Approved Contractor scheme to set the standard for tree work – an industry not regulated by government but one that cares for the largest living organisms on the planet in some of the most hostile growing environments.
The ARB Approved Contractor scheme offers a recognised benchmark for arboricultural contracting throughout the UK and Ireland and is increasingly required by Local Authorities and other large commercial organisations, acting as a quality mark assuring the client of good quality tree care undertaken safely and efficiently.
Ground Control’s Arb division was first accredited with AA Approved Contractor status in 2014, becoming reapproved following a stringent process that involved overseeing 4 areas of examination:
- Worksite safety inspection
- Work quality inspection and Arboricultural knowledge
- Customer care and office procedures
- Health and Safety management and workplace inspection
Director of Arboriculture and Rail Services, Peter Allen commented;
“This accreditation is a fantastic recognition of the skills and professionalism of the Arb team. It is an excellent example of integrated working and will continue to provide opportunities across the business, securing us as a key player in the field. Huge thanks go to James Sadler, Sean Stanley, Alan Richardson, Paul Shaw, Oliver Dickson, Matt Allen, Matt Culley and Carl Powell for their support.”
