Going the Extra Mile at Sainsbury’s

The 23rd of December is the day retailers recognise as being the busiest shopping day of the year. As a way of improving our already excellent relationship with Sainsbury’s, Peter Clark (Contracts Manager) and Kieran Sandhu (Communications Manager) went to the Stanway store to assist in preparations for the Christmas rush.

Throughout the day they were able to replicate their excellent standards of customer service when working for Ground Control with the shoppers at Sainsbury’s. They were tasked with updating stock and responding to customer queries and requests for the alcohol department, a notoriously busy section of the store at this time of year!

Upon finishing their shift at the retailer, they were informed that a number of customers had taken the time to approach the customer service department and offer glowing reviews of their excellent service and willingness to help.

Other members of Ground Control also assisted at a number of Sainsbury’s stores throughout the Christmas period. Regional Contracts Managers Nathan Rainey and Bowen Watt, Key Account Manager, Louise Keegan, and Contracts Manager, Ian Low all took time to help out at the busiest time of year. While another of our Regional Contract Managers, Marc Wilkinson, was able to help the Dunstable Road store in Luton on Christmas Eve!

This is a fantastic representation of Ground Control and further demonstrates our motto of going the extra mile in every aspect of our work.
