Further Streamlining Ground Control’s Award Winning Service
Coming to the end of a record breaking season, members of Ground Control’s Winter Maintenance team have successfully undertaken Project Management training; further streamlining Ground Control’s award winning winter maintenance service.
The one-day training course aimed to enhance the team’s already systematic approach to managing different types of projects and change. By highlighting the importance of time and setting goals and objectives, the training encourages the self-development needed to further succeed in managing service delivery. In a department revolving around change in weather, the Winter Maintenance team are set challenges every day. Offering training to implement and expand leadership skills and qualities, Ground Control hopes to strengthen the department and enrich the individuals at the forefront of managing the award winning service.
Winter Maintenance Operations Manager Andy Simpson, who attended the course said:
“Winter Maintenance is all about the planning phase, and the only variable known to us with the British weather is to plan for the worst possible scenario so we have the flex and capability to deal with the worst, if and when it comes. The ‘FastTrack’ project management course gave a fantastic overview of the many tools available to us to join up our existing experience to plan for the future, and ensure we not only we maintain Ground Control’s premier Winter Maintenance Service as the UK’s market leader, but push accepted boundaries and strive to continually enhance our services and reporting.”
