Two of Ground Control’s most high-profile sites have been awarded Gold at this year’s London in Bloom contest. The National Maritime Museum in Greenwich and the Tower of London, two of London’s most iconic attractions, have both received the highest award level of Gold by the judges.

Maintenance Director, Jay Hancocks, said;

It is wonderful and incredibly rewarding to see the high maintenance standards our teams keep at both sites recognised and validated by London in Bloom. It is testimony to the benefits of excellent client support and engagement, coupled with the passion and drive of the Ground Control teams at site, led by Head Gardener’s David Williams and Anthony Hickson, that we have achieved Gold in this prestigious competition.

London in Bloom aims to support and increase awareness of our vital green open spaces, increase community involvement and enhance the mission we all have in caring for our environment. All goals which are very much aligned with Ground Control’s mission to create and maintain external spaces that are safe and enjoyable, whilst focusing on supporting the UK to be Carbon Neutral by 2050.
