The latest updates from Ground Control.

It’s National Tree Week! We invite you all to join us in marking the UK’s largest annual tree celebration!

We’re Focussing on Tree Establishment

Ground Control’s philosophy and call to action, is Caring for our Environment, which is why we’re investing £500,000 via our Evergreen Fund and working with our customers to plant 1 million trees over the next 5 years.

We are involved in several projects to plant over 45,000 new trees this season. During National Tree Week, our team will be working with Essex County Council and the Woodland Trust to plant 15,000 saplings and create two new woodlands at Chelmer Valley in Essex. Keep an eye on our social media channels next week to see how the project progresses.

Financed by five percent of Ground Control’s operating profit, as well as spending £100,000 a year on tree planting, the Evergreen Fund is providing seed and growth capital to projects focused on delivering measurable, beneficial and sustainable environmental impact. Read More

Why is tree planting so important to Ground Control?

In 2018/2019, Ground Control staff planted 22,893 native hardwood trees on nine hectares of former farmland in Billericay, Essex to create Little Cowbridge Wood, a multifunctional woodland providing a wide range of benefits. #Trees #ClimateChange #Sustainability.
