Lizzie Bucknell- Winter Operations Systems Manager
To be able to come into work knowing that each day is going to be different from the last allows me to look forward with anticipation. Being a part of the Winter Maintenance team, the weather often determines how each day pans out.
Being able to offer an exceptional service to clients is a continuous motivation for me, particularly when culminating in creating lasting relationships. Knowing that we as a company have the ability, the experience and the expertise to deliver an efficient service is the driving factor of my role.
When aiming to offer the highest standards of service we are required to be contactable at varying times which includes out of work hours, overnight and at weekends. This level of dedication ensures we go above and beyond the expectations of our clients. The job satisfaction this brings more than makes up for the extended working hours.
Working in a company, which continually develops IT solutions to propel itself to the forefront of every sector it serves, is especially important for my role. I am constantly looking to identify ways to simplify the system into more logical and linear processes to enable our field teams and office operatives to conduct themselves in the most efficient manner possible.
At the end of each day I am always happily aware of the fact that I have played my role in keeping clients, field teams and the general public safe through organising processes such as gritting and snow clearance. From making sure you receive your post in the morning to keeping your local supermarkets running during severe weather outbreaks, I know I have been able to have a positive impact on the daily lives of people across the UK.
