Social and environmental responsibility involves everyone.
We look actively for opportunities to improve the environment and to contribute to the happiness and welfare of the communities we serve. Our CSR policy sets out the principles we all follow and the initiatives we have developed where we have significant impact or influence.
We take all reasonable steps to manage our operations in order to minimise our environmental impact and to promote exemplary environmental practice. We are always exploring new ways to increase efficiencies, reduce waste and to support our customers to meet their environmental targets and objectives.
We build long-lasting relationships with our customers, local businesses, suppliers and the communities we live and work in. Our operating model is totally focused on the delivery of local services, by local people. This focus enables us to be flexible, to directly respond to the specific needs of our communities and to deliver the maximum benefit to those that we aim to support.
The primary objective of Ground Control’s charity work is to raise funds for multi beneficiary aid organisations in the local community, nationally and internationally.
Each year there is a £20,000 fund dedicated to supporting sponsorships, donations, contributions and match funding. We have raised funds for a number of charities in the past including The Haiti Earthquake Disaster Relief, the World Wildlife Fund and Macmillan cancer support.
